Normally, when electricity moves through a wire, some of it gets wasted as heat, like when you feel your phone charger getting warm. But in a superconductor, this doesn’t happen. It’s like a super slide for electricity!

The tricky part is that to become a superconductor, the material has to be really, really cold, colder than even the coldest winter! When it’s that cold, it gets its superpowers and can carry electricity perfectly.
